The Bucket Bong |

The bucket bong is
very easy to make, hard to screw up, and gives good hits. It's made
entirely out of a one-litre plastic bottle, a two-litre plastic
bottle, electrical tape, and some aluminum foil. Slice the neck off
the two-litre bottle and cut the bottom part off the one-litre The
one-litre serves as the "top" which fits inside the "bottom" part,
the two-litre. Take the plastic bottlecaps and punch several holes
in each, put them top-to-top and tape them up for the bowl. Put the
foil into one of the bottlecaps and punch a few tiny holes in it
(the screen). The concept of a gravity bong is as simple as a
conventional bong. The two-litre bottom is filled with water and the
one-litre top is inserted inside (both top-up). The cap is filled
with mix and screwed onto the one-litre. The mix is lit and the
one-litre is steadily pulled upwards and out of the water. A vacuum
is thus created in the one-litre, drawing in the smoke. The
chopped-off bottom of the one-litre must not rise above the water
line, or else the vacuum is destroyed and your smoke is lost. Once
the one-litre is pulled up as far as possible and is filled with
smoke, the bottlecap (bowl) is unscrewed and removed. While still
holding the one-litre up (you'll feel a steady pull due to the high
pressure of the smoke wanting to escape), wrap your lips around the
neck of the one-litre, let go, and inhale. The one-litre will drop
into the water, forcing the smoke out and into your lungs. |

The Gravity
Bong (waterfall) |

The gravity bong
is an unfiltered lungful. Grab a big bottle, like a 1litre / 2litre
bottle and 2 lids. Hold it upright (bottle neck on top) and make a
hole, as wide as a biro-pen, just on the bottom edge of the bottle.
Take the plastic bottlecaps and punch several holes in each, put
them top-to-top and tape them up for the bowl. Put the foil into one
of the bottlecaps and punch a few tiny holes in it (the screen).
Fill the bottle
with water and place a finger over the hole you made in the bottom,
to prevent the water emptying too soon. Screw bowl onto the
bottleneck and apply a flame to the mix. Then remove your finger
from the hole at the bottom of the bottle (keep the flame applied to
the mix until, either the mix has burnt through or there is no more
suction), and let the water pour out (over a sink or something).
You'll notice that, as the water flows out of the bottle, the smoke
produced from burning the mix, is drawn into the bottle-chamber.
Once all the water has emptied the bottle, quickly remove the bowl
and inhale the smoke inside the bottle-chamber. |

The Lung |

The Lung is
another unfiltered lungful. Again, grab a big bottle (1 or 2 litres)
and cut away the bottom of the bottle. You should now have a bottle
missing its bottom! You'll also need a plastic bag, something
without holes that can be taped or attached with rubber-bands to the
opening at the bottom of the bottle. Make sure that the bag makes an
air-tight seal around the bottle. Then push the bag into the bottle,
the end of the bag should reach up to the end of the bottle neck.
Get your mix ready
and put it onto the bowl. Grip the end of the bag (the bit inside
the bottle), apply a flame to your mix and gently pull the bag away
from the top of the bottle. Again, keep the flame applied to the mix
until it has burnt through or there is no more suction. You'll
notice that pulling the bag away draws in the smoke from the burning
mix. Once the bottle-chamber is full of smoke, quickly remove the
bowl and inhale the smoke. |
